Testimonials for Larry Barber
I’ve been a fan of Larry Barber since I first read one of his screenplays many years ago. He has a real talent for creating vibrant worlds populated with believable and sympathetic characters. His ability to write both screenplays and hour dramas gives him a unique ability to speak knowledgeably about both.
Larry Barber knows not only how to write critically-lauded scripts of his own, he knows how to teach other people how they can become better writers. Larry’s abundant professional credits disprove the old adage that “those who can, do, and those who can’t, teach.” He did: he does; and he can teach you how.
Larry Barber is a wonderful writer and a wonderful teacher. He’s that rare combination of being a professional writer and knowing how to translate that into teaching others how to do it. Invaluable and unique! But the best thing about Larry is that he knows how to help. If there’s a problem, Larry digs in. What more could you want from a teacher? Whether you’re a beginner writer or farther down the line, Larry’s your guy. You’ll be glad you’re working with him. I sure am.
Larry Barber approaches screenwriting with the same warmth, humor, and understanding that he approaches life. He’s a seeker, and on your journey through the writing process you’d be hard pressed to find a better traveling companion.
